Description
Hawaiian green sea turtle populations have risen from 35 nesting females to 800 in the last 20 years thanks to protection under the endangered species act. Unfortunately these beautiful creatures are still threatened and are greatly impacted by ocean plastic pollution and sea level rise. It is vital that we continue to protect them by removing entanglement threats like drift nets and ocean plastics that they inadvertently consume.
This necklace removes plastic from the environment and supports the work of Hawaii Wildlife Fund to remove dangerous drift nets from Hawaii's coastlines, ensuring that they won't travel back out to sea.
